About Asteriq

One person. A growing atlas of companies.

I am betminekdev, the developer behind Asteriq. I build and maintain this project myself, from the website to researching and reviewing company data.

The aim is to make companies easier to discover and their public information easier to explore. This is an ongoing independent project, not a complete business register or a commercial data provider.

An atlas in progress

Not every company, city or country is covered yet. New profiles and corrections are added gradually as time and reliable sources allow. A company missing from the map is not a judgement about its importance, size or legitimacy.

Sources, not guesses

Research uses public company registers, official company websites, annual reports and other identifiable public sources. Source links are provided with profiles where available so you can check the original information.

Some research steps use automated tools and AI assistance. An AI answer is not evidence: a claim still needs a supporting source. Missing information is left unfilled rather than invented, and unavailable fields may be hidden from a profile.

Useful information, with limits

Companies move, teams change and new reports replace old figures. Despite ongoing checks, information can be incomplete, outdated or incorrect. A checked source does not mean every field in a profile has been independently verified.

  • Employee figures can describe a legal entity or a wider group. A range, an annual average and a full-time-equivalent figure are not the same as an exact headcount.
  • A registered address may differ from the operating headquarters. Some map markers are city-level locations, not exact building entrances.
  • Funding details may be missing. Public or private ownership does not establish a particular investment round.

Check the linked source and its date before relying on a figure for an important decision. Asteriq is a starting point for research, not a replacement for the original records.

Help the atlas improve

You can suggest a missing company through the Add company form in the atlas. Submissions go to manual review and are not published directly on the map.

For corrections or other feedback, visit my portfolio for available contact options. Include the company name, the field that needs changing and a public source link so I can review it. As a solo developer, I cannot promise an immediate response or update.
